Thomas Cuisine is looking for an experienced Dining Room Supervisor, focused on Customer Experience, to join a Community College in Saratoga, CA .
Our client provides an exceptional dining experience to thousands of students, with a focus on enriching their experience through personalized care, positive atmosphere and amazing food!
Your role and impact
As a Customer Experience Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience for students. You lead the front-of-house team of cashiers and Baristas, overseeing service quality, training staff, and maintaining a warm and inviting dining atmosphere. Your leadership helps create a memorable dining experience while ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and adherence to hospitality standards.
What you will do
Supervise daily dining operations to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
- Your priority focus will be on Breakfast and Lunch service, making sure students have a memorable experience.
Lead, train, and mentor cashiers, servers and baristas staff to maintain high service standards.
Oversee table settings, presentation, and dining room cleanliness.
Coordinate meal service with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service.
Interact with students, addressing concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and assist with scheduling.
Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
Assist with hosting special events, private dining experiences, and themed meals.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall dining experience.
What you will need
- ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card
- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen in accordance with applicable State laws and regulations.
- High School Diploma/GED
- A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a commitment to quality and excellence.
- Previous dining room experience and customer service experience
- Previous experience in a supervisor or management role, overseeing a Front of the house team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, depending on the business needs.
- Physical and Sensory Requirements
Must sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Requires frequent use of hands for tasks like cooking, preparing food, patient care, writing, and computer entry. Must lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally push carts (30 lbs.) or wheelchairs (up to 325 lbs.). Regularly bends, stoops, and reaches above shoulder level. Requires normal hearing and good overall vision.

Compensation: Hourly compensation range between $33 and $35 per hour depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. This role requires flexibility as the business needs can change.
