Job Summary: The Extended School Year program is looking for a Behavior Analyst to provide consultation and direct support in a variety of educational settings. The Behavior Analyst supports school wide positive behavior support systems, as well as individualized and classroom-based systems. The Behavior Analyst collects data and information for Functional Behavior Assessments and guides the team in the use of data collection and analysis.

 Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and/or provide academic and social instruction to support the educational programming and physical needs of special education students assigned.
  • Provide behavioral coaching to teachers in inclusive settings.
  • Plans curriculum and prepares lessons and other instructional materials according to achievement levels of students.
  • Observes, evaluates, and prepares reports on progress of students.
  • Provide basic instruction to students in accord with district & IU policy.
  • Accessible by phone to support staff in a crisis.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods, and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work

June 25 through July 31, 2025

Must be available to work Monday through Thursday

8:45am-2:45pm 

 Travel:  There is no travel associated with this position.


Level of Degree: 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Behavior Analyst License/Certification
  • Three years' experience as a Behavior Analyst, preferable in a public school

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current Federal and PA Special Education regulations, Functional Behavioral Analysis, data collection procedures and development of individual classroom and system-wide behavior plans.
  • Experience and proficiency in implementing positive behavior plans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Collaborate with students, parents, team members and administrators.
  • Work independently and assist teams in making data-driven decisions to support students.

 Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable):  Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
