Description
The Integrated Marketing & Event Management Intern will support the execution of The Sixty6’s marketing strategy and event programming under the direction of the Cleveland Foundation’s VP of Marketing & Communications. The intern will assist with social media, digital content, event coordination, and guest engagement to ensure campaigns and events are executed effectively. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of marketing, placemaking, and community engagement.
Requirements
Marketing, Social Media, and Digital Asset Management
- Support execution of The Sixty6’s’s marketing plan to drive awareness, engagement and sales.
- Maintain and update website and social media channels; respond to inquiries and reviews.
- Create and curate digital assets (photos, videos, graphics) for campaigns and promotions.
- Develop graphics for digital displays and printed materials.
- Contribute to content calendars and campaign timelines.
- Track engagement metrics and compile performance reports.
- Assist with email marketing campaigns and analytics to drive engagement, increase open and click-through rates and support overall brand and fundraising goals.
Event Management
- Assist with booking logistics, artists communication, and event setup/breakdown.
- Support guest experience during events, including surveys and feedback collection
- Recommend event ideas that attract target audiences and grow attendance.
Community Engagement
- Conduct on-site surveys and market research.
- Engage with guests to promote campaigns and gather feedback.
- Build connections with local businesses, organizations, and influencers.
- Report insights to inform future programming and marketing strategies.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing and Real Estate teams to align messaging and goals.
- Support Pearl’s Kitchen and Black Frog Brewery cross-promotions
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager of MidTown Placemaking and Community Development on event planning and execution.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, the intern will:
- Gain hands-on experience executing integrated marketing tactics for a multi-tenant venue.
- Build skills in digital content creation and campaign execution.
- Develop confidence in event planning and guest engagement.
- Learn how marketing, real estate, and community development teams collaborate to achieve shared goals.
- Build a professional portfolio of marketing assets and event work.
Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Canva or similar design tools preferred
- Ability to work some evenings/weekends
- Valid Ohio driver’s license with acceptable during record
- Background check required per applicable laws
