This important role involves overseeing financial and compliance monitoring for properties in the Virginia Housing portfolio. It ensures mortgagors and property owners meet eligibility, income, occupancy, and regulatory requirements set by Virginia Housing, HUD, and the IRS. The position protects the Authority's interests by effectively utilizing resources for monitoring financed properties and supports automation efforts to improve operations and maintain accurate data. This position requires up to 20% travel, which includes overnight travel to meetings and conferences and to conduct audits and inspections.

To be successful in this role you must possess:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Several years of experience in programmatic compliance of federal affordable housing programs.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in multifamily asset management and/or compliance.
- Strong working knowledge of asset management principles as well as compliance with regulatory requirements of various IRS and HUD programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous management and leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of the project-based section 8 program
- An industry-related designation such as the CPM and/or HCCP.
- This position requires incumbents to drive for Virginia Housing business purposes. Therefore, incumbents must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to the standards outlined in the motor vehicle-related administrative regulations and Human Resources policies as a condition of continued employment.

Hiring Range: $108,952 – $141,635
