Job Summary

 

Automation Engineer – Operational Technology

 

This role is a blend of IT security and industrial automation engineering. As out Automation Engineer – Operation Technology you will represent the factory as the Super User for OT (Operational Technology) Security (Industrial Control System Security) with the central team, ensuring that our infrastructure, systems, and processes are secure.  As an OT Superuser, your primary responsibility is to maintain the factory’s OT compliance with the corporate standard, and to develop and implement solutions to close OT deviations (gaps). You will also support the Maintenance Department by leading projects as assigned, developing skills of the maintenance crew by providing technical procedures, developing training documents and troubleshooting guides in specific fields such as PLCs, AC/DC Drives and Robotics. 

 

This position is based in Vancouver, WA.

What you will do

 

As an Automation Engineer – OT you will:

 

  • Act as OT Superuser (Tetra Pak specific network) and be responsible for compliance with the corporate OT Security Standard.
  • Be in charge of automation and integration in new equipment projects
  • Actively participate in process improvements through WCM (World Class Manufacturing), specifically as it relates to root cause analysis for machine issues and implementation of technical bulletins
  • Provide training for the maintenance department in relation to the factory automated systems
  • Keep and maintain updated documentation for the factory and machines as needed

We believe you have

 

  • An Engineering degree in Automation / Controls or Computer Science or specific Controls / Automation Technical Training and at least 3 years related experience.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft operating systems and with network design principles.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, AC/DC drives, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ideally experience working in the following programs: Siemens Step 7 programming.
  • Experience in Starter, Scout, TA Portal; WinCC; Omron; Allen Bradley; Robot Studio a plus.

Pay Equity

 

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances. 

 

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $70,100 – $100,000
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS
