Primary Responsibilities:

  • Over sees operations including direct claims handling, supervision of adjusters, and assignment of new claims.
  • Responsible for overall growth and maintaining of business
  • Oversees work product and conducts monthly and quarterly reviews and evaluations.
  • Conducts training for new and experienced adjusters
  • Participates in telephone and in-person meetings with clients
  • Meets with staff members either in person or via web-based platforms on a regular basis.
  • Maintains company reputation and integrity of insurance products by complying with federal and state regulations and service standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through continuing education.
  • Participates in special projects or performs duties in other areas as requested.
  • Sets production objectives for team members and follow up to ensure compliance.
  • Ensures that all Capstone service metrics and education objectives are met by team members.
  • Conducts interviews and assist in onboarding new employees. 
  • Tracks and ensures employees are in compliance with applicable state regulations including adjuster license(s) when required.
  • Handles high valued claims, complex claims or sensitive claims etc. as needed. 
  • Identifies positive and negative trends, formulates solutions and works with Manager to implement change. 


Requirements


  • A high school diploma; advanced education beyond high school preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years’ experience handling full adjustment Personal and Commercial property claims—investigating coverage, completing ROR’s/denials, and doing full captioned reports.
  • Previous experience supervising employees is preferred
  • Insurance Institute education preferred such as AIC or CPCU preferred.
  • Must be licensed, or have the ability to obtain license(s), as required by state and local jurisdictions to adjust insurance claims. 
  • Experience with Xactimate

  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to provide excellent service to policyholders and clients. 
  • Ability to effectively operate a computer and related claims and business software.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to make decisions and resolve conflict 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical ability. 
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment when required. 
  • Good organizational and time management skills.  

Physical Demand Requirements:

The physical requirements associated with the position are limited. Repetitive tasks associated with typing, note taking, telephonic communication and operating standard office equipment are required. Employees are required to work within a Capstone office unless otherwise directed by management.
