The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a visionary leader to join us as Manager Engineering Delivery, responsible for shaping and delivering ElectraNet’s design management strategy. This role is pivotal in driving technical excellence, operational efficiency, and commercial alignment across the organisation.

 

You will lead a team of 10+ Project Engineering Managers and collaborate across business units to ensure projects meet governance, technical, and performance standards. Your influence will extend from strategic planning to hands-on delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering services.

 

Key focus areas include:

  • Strategic and operational leadership of design management functions.
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement across engineering delivery.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
  • Leading change and fostering a high-performance culture.

About You

 

You are a strategic and operational leader with deep expertise in engineering delivery, particularly in substation and transmission line design and construction. You bring:

  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in leading engineering functions within complex, regulated environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement design management strategies that align with business goals and technical standards.
  • Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness, enabling sound decision-making and budget management.
  • Demonstrated success in building high-performance teams and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation and externally.
  • A clear and decisive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to manage risk and drive outcomes under pressure.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant technical or management field, with post-graduate qualifications in business or management considered advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as the National Electricity Rules and Transmission Codes is desirable.

 

You’ll be comfortable navigating change, leading multidisciplinary teams, and delivering technical excellence across diverse projects.
