Position Summary

The Director, Supply Chain Orchestration is accountable for the strategic direction and oversight of the team of global process owners and associates supporting Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, Warehousing & Intercompany as well as the GSC L&D function.

This leadership position will ensure the team seamlessly delivers business process support as well as comprehensive, integrated solutions in a timeline manner to supply chain employees worldwide.   The role is responsible for developing, motivating, and growing a strong technical organization of supply chain orchestration experts.

Successful candidates will be able to provide leadership to the team, having the vision and technical understanding needed to design, support and implement the Elanco supply chain orchestration business processes.  This individual will be able to influence across functions and geographies and at multiple levels within the organization.  This role reports to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Strategy & Global Process (SGP)

Responsibilities

  • People Management and Development
    • Recruit, develop, retain, and motivate talent to ensure team success
    • Monitor team performance against performance objectives and adjust course where necessary to continue to meet customer expectations
    • Ensure employee development, cross train within the team to ensure flexible, comprehensive support
    • Ensure that team members have the required training and expertise in their business process area
    • Responsible for understanding, implementation, and adherence to company policies, processes and external obligations, as applicable

  • Management and Oversight of Supply Chain Orchestration Processes
    • Establish key milestones for all projects and track progress against them to keep them on track
    • Identify and solve a range of organizational and operational problems and technical challenges
    • Ensure sufficient documentation and training exists for Elanco’s Supply Chain Orchestration business processes
    • Drive adoption of Supply Chain Orchestration processes across Elanco Sites, Hubs & Affiliates

  • Strategy Development and Management
    • Provide SAP Supply Chain Orchestration modules expertise (IM/WM,MO,TM,ICO, GTS) to design supply chain business processes to meet the future needs of Elanco, ensure partnership with key Supply Chain and Enterprise transformation projects
    • Ensure SAP supply chain tools adhere to supply chain business roles, organizational structure and responsibilities
    • Monitor the completion of SAP Planning Module changes, and communicate change status to the Supply Chain organization
    • Remove barriers that prohibit team from delivering a positive customer experience
    • Define CORRS requirements and metrics regarding Supply Chain Orchestration

  • Learning & Development
    • Lead the Supply Chain L&D team to develop and implement a robust training strategy for Global Supply Chain
    • Drive efficient & contemporary L&D practices to ensure high-quality training content and administration

  • CORRS
    • Define CORRS requirements and metrics regarding Supply Chain Orchestration, own the ongoing content management of impacted CORRS modules
    • Support the CORRS Senior Advisor in execution of the CORRS assessment program

  • Establish a strong relationship with Elanco Supply Chain contacts
    • Sustain & develop a super user network and effective user communication process for key supply chain personnel at Elanco manufacturing, EEM, and affiliate organizations as well as network and regional supply chain leaders
    • Network with GSC SGP team members to understand the overlap with other business processes
    • Ensure team participation in external forums and peer connections, maintain awareness of evolving supply chain planning best practices.
    • Drive adoption into ongoing continuous improvement of Elanco processes.
