Core Purpose

The Investment Analyst Intern will support TTC’s investment department. This support will cover areas such as analyses for relationship managers and their current or prospective clients, understanding TTC’s investment offerings and investment systems, and conducting research on the market, the economy, or investment managers. The position will work closely with TTC’s portfolio analysts to understand client return and risk objectives, unique circumstances, and how to implement our best thinking.


Responsibilities


  • Shows a commitment to The Trust Company’s Mission, Core Values, and Client Promise.
  • Performs investment analyses for wealth management accounts, personal trusts, endowments, and other investment advisory relationships.
  • Acquires an understanding of trade execution.

  • Responsible for adhering to regulations and internal policies, as well as responding to escalating risk issues in a timely manner.
  • Keeps up with weekly research on the markets, various types of investments, and the economy including completing recommended reading and attending webcasts.

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Current Junior or Senior in a college or university and pursuing a degree in Finance
  • Flexible schedule with a commitment to attendance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic understanding of financial markets and securities
