Intake Supervisor
Named by the Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last three years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks an Intake Supervisor to join its growing intake department. Good Shepherd is seeking a candidate with professional experience in hospice or expertise for home care or hospice agency.
Job Responsibilities:
The Intake Supervisor oversees the staff (Intake Coordinators) in the department. The Intake Supervisor takes referrals and processes them as well as oversees insurance verification and authorizations.
Schedule and Weekly Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Occasionally, the Intake Supervisor will need to provide coverage for the Intake Coordinator on the weekend.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Computer skills required; experience within the Google Suite is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, as is the ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
