Regional Campus Director

REGIONAL CAMPUS DIRECTOR (In Training)

Job Summary

The Regional Campus Director In Training (RCDIT) works under the direction of a Regional Campus Director, with additional guidance from Vice Presidents and others in the Operations Team, and supports the day-to-day operation at three to five campuses.  The RCDIT is responsible for assisting in the achievement of campus level operating goals while maintaining strict adherence with Ross policies and procedures designed to maintain compliance with Federal, State and accrediting agency requirements. This is accomplished through collaboration and partnering with key corporate personnel to ensure compliance, positive outcomes, strong campus operations, and a healthy and positive working environment for students, faculty and staff.   The RCDIT receives training and experiences that may lead to a job as a Regional Campus Director or other roles in Operations or within Ross.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The following are the regular responsibilities of a Regional Campus Director. The RCDIT will have both responsibilities and supporting roles in these activities, and will have a similar mix of responsibility & support for the Key MetricsAlso, the RCDIT will frequently do the duties of the Educational Support Coordinator in a back-up or substitute role. 

Student Management

  • Approves students for enrollment and verifies accuracy of information completed on the enrollment paperwork prior to final approval
  • Submit student reinstatement/re-entry/readmissions requests for approval
  • Monitors student retention and placement rates for all programs to ensure campus meets established goals and assists campus staff with improvement plans if necessary
  • Provides student guidance and assistance as needed
  • Takes disciplinary action when necessary
  • Oversees student account management to help control bad debt

Staff and Faculty Supervision

  • Identify staffing needs, interviews candidates and hires campus staff and faculty
  • Arranges for onboarding of campus staff and coordinates training in conjunction with VP of Operations Training and Development
  • Supervises faculty members with assistance from the Associate Director, Educational Coordinator or Lead Faculty member
  • Evaluates employee performance and effectiveness
  • Takes necessary disciplinary action with employees such as warnings and probationary measures
  • Conducts weekly regional campus staff meetings
  • Responsible for monitoring and approving payroll, adjustments and petty cash requests for monthly reimbursement
  • Provides guidance and assistance as needed
  • Takes disciplinary action when necessary

Compliance

  • Ensures campuses within the assigned region are compliant by following standards from ABHES, State and Federal governments and Ross policies and procedures
  • Responsible for assuring the integrity of data/information/processes, student satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores at all campuses within the assigned region
  • Effectively uses CampusVue to gather and review accuracy of data reported
  • Reviews student and employer surveys and forwards them along with appropriate action plans (when necessary) to the appropriate corporate personnel
  • Prepares for accreditation renewals and visits and attends visitation meetings
  • Is current on the compliance standards and Ross policies and procedures
  • Participates in campus review process
  • Prepare annual reports for Accreditation Agencies

General

  • Fosters a collaborative partnership with key corporate personnel to ensure compliance, positive outcomes, strong campus operations, and a healthy and positive working environment for students, faculty and staff within assigned campuses
  • Assists Documents Required Team in lowering amount of documents in required status
  • Responsible for adhering to annual budget

Key Metrics

  • Show consistent improvement in student retention with each program meeting, at a minimum, the ABHES standard of 70% and striving for Ross standard of 80%, while meeting the monthly drop budget
  • Show consistent improvement in graduate placement with each program meeting, at a minimum, the ABHES standards of 70% and striving for the Ross standard of 80%
  • Show consistent improvement (year over year) in staff retention
  • Show consistent improvement in NPS scores
  • Strive for positive survey results of 85% or above (Faculty Evaluations, Graduate Surveys, Student Opinion Surveys and Employer Surveys)
  • Must have zero tolerance for non-compliant behavior or process and have positive compliance reviews
  • Appropriate action taken for delinquent student payments per Ross standards
  • Strive for 85% or above score on quarterly compliance reviews

Regional Campus Director


 Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS required from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
  • Three or more years of management experience in post-secondary education
  • If a current Ross employee, at least six months experience with proven success in current position
  • Ability to interview and hire effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to apply basic principles and techniques of supervision
  • Ability to build rapport with students and staff
  • Ability to utilize effective problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates success in setting and achieving business goals
  • Ability to provide objective assessment of individuals and team performance
  • Knowledge of educational regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of ethical/professional business practices
  • Must have sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation
  • Must have sufficient visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use white board and use classroom equipment.
  • Reference and background check required for employment, including credit check
  • Protection of student and/or employee privacy is expected in the handling of confidential and/or financial information.
  • Protection of the corporation and privacy of corporate proprietary and confidential information is expected
  • Professional communication encompasses written, oral, visual and digital communication. Successful communication skills are required for working at Ross and involve the following: writing, reading, editing, speaking, listening, software applications, data entry and reporting, and Internet research
  • Ability to work with different teams
