Holly Ridge Center, a non-profit neurodevelopment agency in Bremerton, WA, is seeking a Mental Health Provider. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team of Infant Toddler Program professionals, providing early support services to children from birth to age 3 and their families.

This provider will use an interdisciplinary, family-centered and culturally competent approach to assist in determining the type and level of support and services needed by our families for delivering a holistic and trauma informed treatment and support plan. Needs may include further assessment, crisis intervention, parent-child therapy, parent education, and other direct services. This professional will provide behavioral/mental health consultation to community childcare providers and other community partners. They will also provide staff counseling and crisis intervention as needed and consult and coordinate with community service providers. (Must become CHERISH and Promoting First Relationships certified after hire.)

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Four-year Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in related field required
• Licensed as one of the following:
- Washington Department of Health Agency Affiliated Counselor Certification;
- Washington Department of Health Agency Affiliated Counselor License;
- Washington Department of Health Licensed Mental Health Counselor;
- Washington Department of Health Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist;
- Infant Mental Health Specialist endorsed by the Center for Early Relational Health (CERH)
• Experience working with children with special health care or developmental needs and their families
• Experience providing family therapy
• Reflective Supervision Certification preferred


Knowledge and Skills:
• Knowledge of infant mental health/parent-child interaction issues
• Knowledge of Washington State Special Education regulations and/or Federal Early Intervention law/Individual Education Plan/Individual Family Service Plan process
• Knowledge of typical and atypical child development and developmental screening
• Knowledge of community resources
• Awareness of family economic and cultural issues as they relate to early intervention
• Ability to make home visits
• Working knowledge of computer applications


Required Licenses or Certifications:
• Certified or Licensed Counselor with Department of Health OR
• Infant/Early Childhood Family Specialist Endorsement from the Center for Early Relational Health
• Valid Washington State driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of required personal liability insurance required
