Position Summary:

The principal objective of the Clinical Education Specialist I is to train surgeon customers and the sales force on the Imaging, Navigation and Robotics product lines based on customer needs to improve patient outcomes. This includes both Spine applications. Core job responsibilities will also include conducting continuing clinical education and product training for the field-based support teams as well as corporate-based employees and assisting with customer activities in the field. This requires knowledge of the operating room and working within a team to support selling and training activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver training for surgeons, OR staff, and Globus field sales and clinical teams both in-market and at Globus lab locations for the Excelsius Spine application

  • Conduct welcome calls with sales team to determine new surgeon customer’s goals, establish appropriate timelines, and facilitate understanding of the training process post-sale of the Excelsius platform at their account

  • Maintain product knowledge and contribute to training program improvements

  • Provides educational support for new surgeons, OR staff and administrators during INR system installations

  • Participates in the Train-the-Trainer process and act as a best-practice coach to Globus field team members

  • Conduct routine case observations in the field to foster continued clinical acumen

  • Monitor team email account to assist sales team with scheduling of surgeon training

  • Support Clinical Education Specialist III, Sr. Clinical Education Specialist, and Clinical Education Manager as needed.

  • Maintain training logs, compliance documents and usage reports

  • Answer surgeon’s questions

  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years’ clinical support or relevant experience in the healthcare industry, spine, cranial, and/or navigation and robotics experience is a plus

  • Possess a passion for training and education

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including, but not limited to the ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Attention to detail

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to learn complex technical and clinical information quickly

  • Comfortable in surgical or high-pressure environments

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time and works occasional Saturdays
