Scope of Position:

Under the direction of the Director, the Strategic Partnerships and Advocacy Manager, provides leadership and support for the development of partnerships with rural and Appalachian health systems and their partners, with OSU colleagues, and with external partners including government and private sector. This position will lead the Rural and Appalachian Healthcare Extension (RAHE) team to plan, develop, and oversee partnerships to drive the success of RAHE’s work.

Position Summary:

The Strategic Partnerships and Advocacy Manager participates in the development of internal and external partnerships and is accountable for directing partnership and advocacy for the Rural and Appalachian Healthcare Extension. This position will oversee relationships with other departments and colleges at OSU and with the regions served by RAHE. The Manager supervises multiple activities including statistical, performance and managerial reporting, decision and budget support, capital planning and execution, and quality and operations improvement initiatives. The Manager will develop relationships with internal partners across the Medical Center and University as well as external partners to facilitate progress toward strategic and operational goals. The Manager will work with the OSUWMC government affairs leadership on advocacy activities and the Office of Health Equity on community engagement planning, strategy, best practice, impact, and reporting.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree may be desirable. 5 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
