Job Description Summary

Performs highly responsible technical system duties associated with the setup, maintenance and administration of user security access roles and permissions for all Credit Union data and applications; tracks changes in user accounts and conducts periodic audits to verify access is obtained and removed in a timely manner; administers the Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sets up, maintains and administers user accounts, access roles and permissions to applications, databases and network services in test, training and production environments; provides additional access roles, permissions and VPN access with management approval; removes users from all applicable systems upon notice of termination of employment.
  • Responds to helpdesk tickets, including, but not limited to; systems access, applications, databases and USB devices; troubleshoots and diagnoses problems using multiple resources; takes appropriate action to resolve problems.
  • Maintains documentation, position templates and reports of user access rights and permissions for all systems, applications and databases; conducts periodic audits to verify access rights are granted and removed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for processing user access requests, ensuring integrity/accuracy of identity data and requiring access to be removed when individuals leave an organization or change job functions through the use of Identity Management tools and software.
  • Assists in testing applications and system releases, updates and fixes; reports test results and performs security systems and applications upgrades after testing for new releases is complete.
  • Reviews system generated security reports to validate parameters and audit user access changes.
  • Responsible for working with business owners to test applications and system releases, updates, and fixes; reports test results and performs security systems and applications upgrades after testing for new releases is complete.
  • Assists with providing evidence for audit requests and with the resolution of audit findings related to user account management.
  • Creates and maintains updated procedures for all administered applications and systems.
  • Completes all required training programs to maintain a current knowledge applicable to assigned duties and responsibilities, including regulatory compliance requirements.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

Required - 2 Year / Associate Degree - Information Technology or a closely related field.

Experience Requirement

Required - 4 Years - Progressively responsible experience performing user support, testing and related functions for business applications.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.
  • Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Basic principles and practices of systems and database administration and maintenance as they apply to areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Standard methodology for troubleshooting to determine causes of computer hardware, software and processing problems, errors and failures.
  • Functions, capabilities, characteristics and limitations of systems and applications software characteristics, operating environments, commands and structures as they apply to assigned responsibilities.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve applications problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.
  • Perform basic business process analyses and apply critical thinking skills to reach sound, logical conclusions regarding user needs and business requirements.
  • Read, interpret and apply technical information on business processes, software and hardware to technical and non-technical users.
  • Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively
