As a Community Support Specialist, you will provide individualized, community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and/or adults. Your responsibilities will include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementing personalized interventions. Using evidence-based techniques, you'll collaborate with clients and interdisciplinary teams to support long-term recovery, stability, and resilience through therapeutic strategies and local resource integration.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide mental health support and interventions in community-based settings
· Collaborate with clients, families, and care teams to develop individualized treatment plans
· Empower clients using strengths-based approaches and evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing
· Facilitate behavioral interventions and support client growth through skill-building and resilience development
· Coordinate care with external providers, schools, physicians, and other community partners
· Document client progress accurately and in a timely manner per policy
· Lead or assist in preparing and facilitating PSR group sessions as aligned with treatment goals
· Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in staff training
· Assist in quality improvement efforts by contributing data and insights
· Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, including family members and community supports
· Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, Rehabilitation Counseling

Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution

Work experience in a related human services field may substitute for educational requirements. *Related fields may include direct support such as case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, vocational rehabilitation, and more. Four years of qualifying experience minimum or a combination of education and experience equaling four years required.

Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) - CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC-P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP-D

Additional Qualifications:
· Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle
· Must be at least 23 years of age to operate a company-owned 15-passenger van
· Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
· Must have reliable transportation to transport clients as needed
· Demonstrated written communication skills sufficient for timely and accurate documentation
· Strong problem-solving and collaboration abilities
· Ability to effectively engage with clients and their families in a variety of settings
· Must be self-motivated with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills

Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
