Role Summary:
Messe Muenchen India is seeking a strategic and growth-focused professional to join as Director - Strategy. This role works closely with the CEO as a strategic sparring partner to shape and execute business growth strategies across the IMEA region. The Director - Strategy will lead high-impact strategic initiatives, identify new growth opportunities, and drive cross-functional alignment to maximize market impact.
Roles and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, market expansion, and positioning across IMEA.
- Collaborate with the executive team to identify growth opportunities, assess market trends, and evaluate competitive threats.
- Execute growth strategies through cross-functional collaboration and effective project management.
- Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new market opportunities and potential risks.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, customers, and government agencies.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and financial indicators to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and make data-driven recommendations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the trade fairs industry and incorporate them into the company's strategy.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- A minimum of 12 years' experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles in B2B industries.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing business strategies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in trade fairs, events, publications, or allied industries is a plus.
