Duties

Develops order of battle data through the use of information accumulated from maps and intelligence information derived from a variety of sources.,Maintains close liaison with other order of battle elements and specialized intelligence activities to include counter-intelligence, imagery interpretation, interrogation, and language interpretation units.,Directs, supervises, and coordinates the planning, collection, evaluation, fusion, analysis, production, and dissemination of multi-discipline intelligence and counterintelligence at all echelons.,Performs multi-disciplined collection management and coordination of surveillance activities and advises on the use and employment of intelligence resources at all echelons.,Plans and supervises the collection, production, and dissemination of tactical, operational and strategic Signal Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Warfare (EW) and Geospatial Intelligence(GEOINT) operations in support of the Army in the field.,Plans, directs, programs, supervises, and exercises technical supervision of tactical, operational and strategic SIGINT operations.,Develops and prepares enemy vulnerability studies and evaluates their significance for use in predicting probable enemy courses of action in terms of disposition, capabilities, and intentions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) Producing complete intelligence analysis which is based on multi-domain research and evaluation of intelligence data/information; AND 2) Experience collaborating with intelligence community members, such as combatant commands, inter-agency and joint activities, to produce a comprehensive intelligence product for operational taskings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. TERM: This announcement is for a TERM position. Permanent employees who apply, are selected for, and ultimately accept this position will be converted to a TERM appointment. TERM positions in DCIPS may be extended up to six years; however, they may be extended an additional two years with Agency approval. This position will NOT be converted to permanent. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a TERM appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Recruitment/Relocation incentives are not authorized. This position is considered essential to support Army's mobilization and wartime mission during periods of increasing tension or mobilization. It is considered emergency essential because (1) no qualified and immediate replacement exists and (2) having it vacant would (a) impair the effective operation of essential military support systems or (b) adversely impact the combat mission of deployed forces. Failure to remain in this position may result in separation for the efficiency of the Federal Service (5 USC, Ch.752). Incumbent may be required to take part in readiness exercises and training (Basic first aid; Basic soldier field survival skills; Laws of War/Geneva Conventions; Prisoner of War coping skills; Standards of Conduct; Proper wear, use and care of all issued clothing and equipment; Uniform Code of Military Justice; Customs and courtesies of host country; Side arm training, when appropriate). Incumbent must meet requirements specified on SF78, Certificate of Medical Examination, for position at overseas/deployed location and receive immunizations appropriate to the overseas location. Emergency Essential employees must be exempted from military mobilization or recall obligations by being placed in the Standby Reserve or other appropriate action. Emergency Essential Civilians are required to sign a DoD Form 2365. (See DoDD 1200.7,DoDD 1404.10, DoDD 1400.31, DoDD 1400.32; and AR 690-11.). This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Department of the Army Drug-Free Federal Workplace Program in accordance with AR 600-85.
