Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and a commitment to patient care in various settings, including urgent care and emergency medicine.
Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to provide accurate diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain clear images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
- Assist in other imaging modalities as needed, including mammography, sonography, or nuclear medicine.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization within the imaging department.

Certifications: ARRT R, BLS
Charting System: Epic
Teaching Hospital Experience: Required
First Timers Accepted: Yes
Shift: Night 4x10-Hour (19:00 - 05:00)
Experience
- Proven experience in diagnostic radiology with a focus on X-ray procedures is preferred.
- Familiarity with urgent care environments or level II trauma centers is advantageous.
- Experience in additional imaging modalities such as mammography or sonography is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $57.46 per hour
