Description

TCCH is growing and actively recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses - Per Diem (LPNs) to join our Care Team. Our LPNs work under the direct supervision of an authorized healthcare practitioner, enabling them to administer medications and perform treatments or procedures without the presence of a registered nurse or other authorized healthcare practitioner on the premises.


Schedule: Per Diem, Mon -Fri variable shifts

Wage: $56,750 - $76,615/year DOE - median equals $65,580/year

Requirements

Job Requirements -

  • Minimum one (1) year of work experience, preferred
  • Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse certification, required
  • Current and maintained AHA BLS certification, required
  • Proficient in English and another language (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, or other) preferred

Essential Functions -

  • Prepare patients by bringing them into the exam room, starting data collection, and entering patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Assist physician or healthcare provider with examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Communicating between patients and external providers regarding test results, medical records, and/or patient care
  • Upkeep departmental supplies and inventory
  • Upkeep all areas of the assigned department to always ensure high level of cleanliness
  • Administer medications, injections, and blood draws as directed by physician or provider
  • Perform and assist with aseptic and sterile procedures
  • Perform diagnostic testing within scope of practice
  • Appropriately handle and transport biohazardous materials such as surgical instruments for sterilization
  • Maintain medication logs through inventorying sample medications, expiry dates, and patient distribution
  • Participate in the performance and completion of quality assessment techniques
  • Adhere to required safety practices and OSHA guidelines in the workplace
  • Take immediate and corrective action if indicated and report problems to appropriate personnel for potential or actual safety hazards
  • Maintain up-to-date certification and medical knowledge, including safety and specific job related hazards
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned
