What The Role Entails

The Accounting Manager leads the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities for our various corporate development entities located in Europe including but not limited to France, Germany, Italy, and Luxembourg. In addition, the Accounting Manager will lead day-to-day accounting and financial reporting activities over data center entities with commercial operations.  Along with the Chief Accounting Officer, and the Controller, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for protecting company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.


What You Will Get to Do 

  • Review and approve journal entries
  • Review and approve the allocation of company expenses and overhead costs
  • Review and approve account variance analysis and reconciliations
  • Review, approve, and present monthly and quarterly financial statements including the associated work packages to senior management
  • Review and approve invoices for proper coding and prepare for payment
  • Review and approve all cross-company transactions and prepare invoices as required
  • Review and approve monthly drawdown packages for submission to lenders - Assisting in due diligence on equity investment deals
  • Lead the compilation of financial data and other audit requirements
  • Review and approve monthly tenant and customer invoices
  • Assist with other accounting projects as required
  • Travel to locations, customer meetings, training courses or conferences as desired and required
  • Support VAT return preparation in conjunction with indirect tax team
  • Supervision and training of young professionals in accounting

 

Requirements

  What You Bring to The Role 

  • Ability to train and motivate other colleagues
  • Ability to complement and advise senior management at all levels
  • Experience in creating and sustaining a culture of success through hands-on problem-solving 
  • Strong quantitative skills· Strong US GAAP and IFRS knowledge preferred
  • Consolidation preparation including FX accounting experience preferred
  • Cash flow preparation experience preferred
  • Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks on time or ahead of schedule while maintaining accuracy
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Communication skills that allow effective relationships with all levels of employee constituents and external constituents. 
  • Experience with companies that value customer service
  • Task oriented, results driven, and capable of multi-tasking in a very exciting environment
  • Proven technical skills with MS Office applications
  • Experience with Yardi or similar software experience is preferred
  • Experience with real estate preferred 
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent work ethic and desire to “do what it takes to get it done right the first time” 
  • A strong desire to constantly seek ways to drive organizational improvement

Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess 

  • Bachelor’s Degree Accounting
  • At least seven (7) years of professional accounting experience 
  • Must be fluent in either German or French as well as English
