Position: Accounting Specialist
Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Role: The Accounting Specialist is a critical member of our Finance Team who focuses on payroll information for members and staff and works under our Finance Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing Onboarding paperwork for members
- Perform hiring steps in ADP for members and staff
- Process biweekly payroll through ADP
- Generate Payroll Invoices including GL download and enter into accounting system
- Payroll Tax Maintenance
- Other paperwork for members
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
This is an hourly position of 40 hours a week with a paid lunch break
Work schedule is in Harrisburg with potential for some at-homework days with periodic attendance at union meetings or events which may require some travel in state from time to time.
Valid driver’s license required and access to a vehicle as needed for travel. Travel is reimbursed under IRS mileage reimbursement rate.
Compensation:
Start rate of annual hourly of $48,405 up to $58,330 based on experience
Fully employer paid health insurance premiums
Other benefits include a defined-benefit pension retirement benefit, optional 401K, and paid time off.
