We are seeking a skilled IBM z/OS DB2 and IMS System Administrator to support mission-critical mainframe environments for federal clients. This role requires hands-on expertise with DB2, IMS, and related z/OS subsystems, combined with strong experience in secure federal IT environments. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in high-availability, compliance-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support IBM z/OS DB2 and IMS subsystems.
  • Manage and maintain z/OS UNIX System Services and MVS UNIX.
  • Provide system configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal availability and reliability.
  • Support Broadcom software products, including:
    • CA Endevor, CA Gen, CA Easytrieve
    • CA Workload Automation (CA7)
    • CA Top Secret
    • Sysview (base and DB2)
    • CA 1 Tape Management
  • Administer and support SAS for monitoring, reporting, and automation.
  • Implement and enforce security, backup, and recovery strategies.
  • Perform installation, upgrades, and maintenance of mainframe software and tools.
  • Collaborate with federal stakeholders to meet compliance, reporting, and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience administering IBM z/OS systems in enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise with DB2 and IMS administration.
  • Hands-on experience with z/OS UNIX System Services and MVS UNIX.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Tectia
    • Broadcom mainframe products (CA Endevor, CA Gen, CA Easytrieve, CA7, CA Top Secret, Sysview, CA 1)
    • SAS and z/OS UNIX tools
  • Experience supporting federal IT environments.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with mainframe security tools and best practices.
  • Experience with automation, workload scheduling, and system performance tuning.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
