SUMMARY:

 

Plan and organize the execution of operations and related manufacturing support functions.  Directly accountable to achieving planned levels of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) and managing the site P & L.  Participate in defining strategic objectives and ensuring critical metrics (safety, quality, delivery, and costs) are achieved.  Develop and actively lead a high performing team through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to Crenlo Operating System to drive continuous improvement
    • Strategy Deployment – Break through objectives, action plans, metrics, countermeasures
    • Gemba – shop floor metrics, Gemba walks, interaction with operators to solve problems, action items and follow-up
    • Daily Management – 9:00 meeting every day, what was expected, what did we achieve, what went wrong, what actions are required to restore flow and solve to root
    • KPIs with Countermeasures – Key Performance Indicators – When commitments missed drive countermeasures for root cause corrective actions using data
  • Plans, organizes, staffs, and controls the operations as assigned by the Plant Director.
  • Ensures the production plan is accomplished on an on-going basis in accordance with budgeted levels of performance.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, and motivates supervisory direct reports and holds them accountable to achieve key metrics and budgeted levels of performance.
  • Drives the quality process to achieve goals through problem prevention, process improvement, and tracking of critical quality metrics.
  • Leads safety processes. Ensures that safety metrics are improving significantly year-over-year.
  • Develops and maintains solid working relationships with cross functional teams.
  • Plans labor and drives cost reduction initiatives to ensure that efficiency, productivity, and on-time shipment performance targets are being met.
  • Leads the 5S initiatives in all buildings of Crenlo plant site location. Drives the process of daily audits from the top down to ensure cleanliness and organization goals are being met.
  • Defines and executes strategic plans. Ensures that cost reduction and Kaizen activities are being utilized to achieve aggressive cost reduction goals.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent time management, problem prevention and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, metric driven organization.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:

  • Work Hours/Status:  Full-time, 40+ hours/week, Monday through Friday, weekends required as needed.
  • Travel Requirements:  Occasional Travel <25%
  • Environment: Plant Floor and Office work environment
