Position: Step Team Head Coach
Location: Garfield Heights City Schools
Position Type: Part Time, Stipend

• Mentorship & Leadership: Inspire and guide students by teaching discipline, teamwork, and dedication both on and off the stage.

• Choreography & Training: Develop and teach step routines that highlight creativity, precision, and rhythm while preparing students for performances and competitions.

• Program Development: Build a sustainable program that nurtures talent across grade levels and promotes school pride.

• Compliance: Uphold Garfield Heights City Schools’ policies and expectations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.

• Team Management: Oversee team operations, including practice schedules, performance planning, and communication with parents and staff.

• Safety: Maintain a safe and inclusive environment during all practices and performances.

• Community Engagement: Collaborate with school staff, families, and the community to support the program and enhance school culture.

• Record Keeping: Track attendance, student progress, and program achievements.

• Professional Development: Stay informed on trends, techniques, and best practices in step and performance coaching.

• Other Duties: Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director or administration.

• Valid Pupil Activity Permit with the Ohio Department of Education
• Satifactory BCI/FBI report 
• 3-5 years of related experience 
• Ability to work effectively with others
