Location & Flexibility

This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from one of our offices in São Paulo (2 times/ week or 8 days/ month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/ week or 12 days/ month). Our WFN culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

The Opportunity

As an Employee Experience and Communications Manager, you will design and deliver programs that enhance the employee journey, from onboarding to engagement and recognition. You’ll lead internal communication initiatives that align and inspire our teams, working closely with leaders and cross-functional partners. This role is a chance to shape culture, drive connection, and create a positive impact on our global employee experience.

Responsibilities

Employee Experience Programs

  • Design the onboarding experience for TELUS Digital Solutions new hires, coordinating with partners across Human Resources, Learning & Development and Information Technology to implement and maintain the program globally.
  • Design and implement strategies that improve employee engagement, well-being and retention. 
  • Support culture and recognition programs that enhance the employee experience, supporting engagement and retention across all departments.
  • Identify issues related to employee engagement and recommend best practices for improvement.
  • Help our employee resource groups and community engagement activities thrive. 

Internal Communications

  • Implement internal communication campaigns to drive alignment and action for business priorities.
  • Manage communication channels (email, intranet, Slack, events) and editorial calendars to ensure consistent, high-impact messaging.
  • Partner with business leads to craft compelling written, visual and digital content for enterprise initiatives, promotions, business changes, and leadership updates.
  • Plan and execute local and virtual employee events and programs, maintaining our global event calendars.

Partnership & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on programs, communication strategies and messaging. 
  • Measure the impact of employee experience programs and communications to drive overall employee engagement.
  • Translate metrics and insights into strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with Communications and/or employee experience programs
  • Proficiency in G-Suite (including Google Calendars)
  • Significant project management and change management experience, especially in employee programs and processes
  • Expertise managing communication channels, including mass marketing email platforms, social channels like Slack, internal newsletters, and intranet sites

  • Team-first mindset: There’s no such thing as an unglamorous project if it helps the employee experience team deliver for the business. 
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, nuance and conflict: you understand that many questions have multiple answers, and that evolving business needs require regular reprioritization and adaptation. 
  • You don’t shy away from difficult problems — you find “sticky”. problems highly engaging and bring a creative and pragmatic lens to resolving challenges
  • You’re passionate about inclusion and are always looking for ways to make people feel heard
