A Montreal Airport Hotel with a Full-service Restaurant and Bar “Rendez-Vous de L’ouest” and two meeting rooms, within walking distance from Fairview Shopping Mall and many restaurants in the area. The corporate sales manager will be responsible for:
- Corporate and transient markets
- Accountable to meet targets/objectives set by higher management
- Develop and negotiate bookings through telephone inquiries, trade shows and sales trips
- As part of the hotel's sales team, assist in the creation, planning and organization of any in-house promotional efforts of the hotel
- Effectively communicate all relative sales information to the appropriate departments on a timely basis
- Ensure that the hotel sales and marketing plans are incorporated into daily sales activities
- Member of the manager on duty program
Job Requirements:
- Minimum two years’ experience in a similar position within a hotel
- Hotel Management degree an asset
- Traveling is required
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Self-starter, strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fluently bilingual (French and English)
- Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Windows, Delphi & OnQ
Other:
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions, and training
- Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel to attend workshops, tradeshows, conventions, etc.
- May require a valid Driver’s License.
