Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Sales Specialist to join our Sports & Event Insurance Broking team. This role is pivotal in driving business development, handling client relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions for sports organizations, event promoters, production houses, and entertainment entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective clients across sports leagues, entertainment productions, and event organizers.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with vital team members including sponsors, franchise owners, and production managers.
- Assess client risk profiles and recommend tailored insurance products such as Event Cancellation Insurance, Film Production Insurance, Liability Coverage, and Personal Accident & Health Insurance for crew and athletes.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams to structure competitive and compliant policies.
- Drive sales targets through strategic account management and cross-selling opportunities.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals in alignment with client needs and regulatory standards.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in sports and entertainment.
- Contribute to product innovation and development based on client feedback and market gaps.
- Ensure accurate documentation of contracts, endorsements, and policy issuance.
- Adhere to IRDAI guidelines and internal compliance protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 3-5 years proven experience in insurance sales, preferably in sports, entertainment, or event domains.
- Strong understanding of insurance products and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with entertainment portfolios including OTT, film, and government events.
- Experience handling high-value contracts and international touring risks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
