Assistant Vice President for Marketing & Communications

The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Marketing and Communications. This is a full-time position located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This position works under the direction of the Vice President for Development and is responsible for advancing the overall mission of the C&MA through strategic storytelling, brand development, and church engagement. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, communications, and media strategy, with a strong focus on team leadership, people development, and increasing engagement across churches, districts, and the broader Alliance family. In the performance of these duties, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.
Specific Duties
- Four-year college degree in related field required
- 9+ years of experience in a related position
- Postgraduate degree in related field preferred
- C&MA background preferred
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The Alliance, the C&MA) was birthed in 1887 from a vision of Pastor A. B. Simpson in New York City, who became heartbroken over the plight of the homeless, the immigrant, and the marginalized. Requirements
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy aligned with the C&MA�s mission and vision
- Champion initiatives that increase awareness, engagement, and participation among churches and ministry partners
- Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership on brand positioning, messaging, and public relations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of marketing, communications, and creative professionals
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and spiritual growth
- Implement professional development plans and performance metrics to support team growth and excellence
- Design and implement campaigns and resources that equip and inspire local churches to engage more deeply with the Alliance movement
- Ensure consistency and excellence in all internal and external communications, including print, digital, video, and social media
- Oversee the development of compelling content that reflects the heart and mission of the C&MA
- Manage crisis communication and media relations with wisdom and integrity
- Collaborate with district leaders and pastors to understand communication needs and tailor strategies accordingly
- Leverage digital platforms, storytelling, and events to build stronger connections across the Alliance network
