MRI Technologist Part-time **$2,500 Sign-on Bonus**

Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics has an exciting opportunity to join our family as a Part-time MRI Technologist at our Harding Place - Nashville, TN clinic.

Position Goal: Performs exceptional imaging procedures using radio frequency waves and strong magnetic fields at a high technical level.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Operates MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient�s body for diagnostic purposes while taking into account each physician�s protocol.

  • Puts patients at ease and keeps safety a priority.  Keeps patients mentally and physically comfortable.

  • Organizes and prepares images/patient history/paperwork for radiologists� interpretation by use of fax and Teleradiology via internet.

  • Injects patients with contrast material.

  • Stocks MRI rooms with appropriate materials.

  • Completes appropriate paperwork and computer applications.

  • Ensures that images meet the established quality standards.

  • Must have command of PACS and be able to assist other staff members as needed.

  • Assists with entering MRI reports into patient�s charts.


Experience: 

Preferred:

  • Two years MRI experience

Education: 

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of course work in radiologic technology approved by the ARRT.

Special Qualifications: 

Required:

  • BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

  • Vast knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy

  • Basic computer and administrative skills

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must display excellent interpersonal skills

  • This position requires travel to and from satellite clinics so a valid driver�s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record upon hire are required (MVR will be screened on an annual basis.)

Preferred:

  • Registered MR
