JOB DESCRIPTION ASSISTANT CAFETERIA MANAGER
Reports to: Principal, Manager and Director of Student Nutrition Services
Education: Minimum of high school diploma or G.E.D.
FLSA Classification: Classified, non-exempt
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Assisting with Production Records Assisting with Physical Inventory Assisting with weekly food/ supplies order
- Assisting with the preparation of food for breakfast and lunch – following county-wide menu
- Food Temperature (checking and recording)
- Sanitation of kitchen
- Federal regulations (correct portions for proper age group, reimbursable meals, etc.)
- Health Department regulations
- Receiving and checking all invoices for all supplies
- Proper storage of supplies
- Assisting with bookkeeping and balancing each day including listing below and closing out month:
- Collection, balancing and posting all money to student accounts
- Maintaining and updating all students accounts on central computer
- Balancing free/reduced students with central office
- Running charge letters for principal
- Completing and balancing daily cash records
- Balancing deposit tickets for bank deposits
- Generating all necessary reports
- Maintain time-sheets, sick leave information
- Work toward Level 1 Certification (6 CEU’s yearly) attending Conference when asked in June of each year
- Any other duties as assigned by principal or director of student nutrition
- Asked to fill in for Manager if they have to be out for any reason
- Asked to come to In-service meetings
- Any other duties needed to make cafeteria run effectively and efficiently
- Must be able to lift, move, and store objects or food packages weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
