Position Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Public Administration, Environmental Health/Environmental Science or related field and/or previous experience
- Up to three years of experience preferred
- OSHA training
- Knowledge of federal and state occupational safety laws
Performance Criteria:
- Perform root cause analysis on work comp claims
- Work with necessary groups to ensure District safety, including fixes, repairs, and suggest training opportunities
- Provides safety educational presentations and training opportunities
- Assist the business office in the development of budget, policies, and procedures relevant to the operation of the wellness and safety programs.
- Maintain data and records regarding program and resource use/effectiveness
- Develops promotion and publicity plans for safety programs throughout the District
