PARAPROFESSIONAL-SPECIAL EDUCATION
Lockport Township High School is seeking a Paraprofessional for the Special Education Department at our East Campus.
Qualified candidates must be:
- A holder of a valid State of Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for Paraprofessionals.
- Experienced working with students with disabilities in an academic environment preferred.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and diverse environment.
- An effective communicator who positively interacts with staff members, parents, students, and the public.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift 40 pounds and or push/pull up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. The employee needs to be able to tell where a sound is coming from and hear in a noisy environment.

Position Type: Full-Time, 10 Months/260 Days
Salary: Starting at $20.50 and based on Collective Bargaining Agreement
