Major/Essential Functions
- Provides inpatient and outpatient general adult neurology clinical services to include neuromuscular or clinical neurophysiology services in the assigned neurology outpatient clinic, and provides consultation services in the affiliated hospitals
- Provides direct patient care and consultative service to other medical professionals
- Diagnose and treat general adult neurological patients, to include interpreting diagnostic tests, such as EEGs/EMGs, and treatment of a variety of peripheral nerve and muscle disorders.
- Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for the teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include the presentation of lectures
- Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
- Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work
- Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
- Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
- Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Successful completion of fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology from an accredited program in the United States
- Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher
- Experience in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology
- Board certification in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
