We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Machine Operator. This full-time, day shift position is based in Mifflintown, PA, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork.


We are looking for an experienced Panel Saw or CNC operator to join our team. This position is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, and run multiple types of machinery that produces superior products following Essential Cabinetry Group’s machining processes and procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Support the C.A.R.E values of the organization
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies and keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Measure materials for conformance to blueprint specifications using a variety of measuring devices
  • Responsible for reviewing products and material during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements
  • Operate all types of woodworking equipment, sliding panel saws, band saws, mortise machines, planers and sanders, pipe clamps, biscuit jointers, tenor
  • Meet daily production goals and understand cycle time requirements
  • Preparing surfaces to be painted by cleaning, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until smooth
  • Check product for flaws or imperfections
  • Make workstation adjustments, including tool and fixture changes to facilitate product changeover as required
  • Maintain charts, logbooks, databases, as required
  • Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty
  • Meet the deadlines of individual production tasks during shift
  • Escalate concerns for material, technical, and quality issues
  • Performing other tasks as assigned


Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals- required
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills- required
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment- preferred
  • Knowledge of production procedures

Working Relationship

Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The Machine Operator II works under the immediate supervision of the Department Supervisor.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time
  • Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period

PPE

Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes at all times while on the production floor


Safety

This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor.

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job:

Non-air-conditioned environments; hazardous materials such paints, stains and solvents; machinery, conveyors, spray-booths and drying racks.
