Skillforce has partnered with one of the leading full-service construction companies to find a Construction Project Manager for a Data Center Project in Indianapolis.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Construction Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale, complex construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to provide full administrative and technical leadership while serving as the primary point of contact for clients and partners. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who thrives on building exceptional projects and driving excellence in quality, safety, and efficiency.
We are especially interested in candidates local to Indianapolis, Indiana—or those willing to relocate—who are committed to contributing to their community’s growth.
Location
This role is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are prioritizing local candidates or those open to relocation. We are also open to providing subsistence for those open to short-term relocation to Indianapolis for the position.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Lead construction activities to ensure projects meet design specifications, budget, and schedule requirements. Set objectives, policies, and performance standards in line with corporate guidelines.
Team Leadership: Direct and support project personnel, working closely with on-site Superintendents to resolve critical issues and maintain performance excellence.
Project Administration: Approve purchase orders, change requests, and manage all project documentation, financials, and logs. Ensure adherence to company, client, and project policies.
Resource Management: Monitor safety compliance, materials, inspections, and equipment to keep projects on track and within scope.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain clear communication with executives, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and address concerns proactively.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance processes, integrate innovative technologies, and improve project outcomes.
Construction Project Manager Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent training and experience.
Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, including design, financial oversight, and project management.
Proven ability to make high-level decisions and recommendations that directly influence project profitability.
Experience in at least two of the following:
Managing large-scale, complex data center projects with budgets of $50M+.
Leading $100M+ projects in sectors such as general construction, electrical construction, manufacturing, technology, or infrastructure (transportation, utilities, energy, or communications).
Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport, with 70%+ travel required.
Preferred:
Advanced expertise in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and motivating cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of delivering exceptional quality while upholding high safety standards.

Up to $150k dependent on experience
