Overview
Inomedic Health Applications, Inc. (IHA) is seeking a physician to plan, control,
direct, administer and coordinate the activities of the Hanford Occupational
Medical Services (OMS), which includes contract support to Hanford’s
implementation of comprehensive Occupational Health and wellness programs
Duties / Responsibilities
The Physician works collaboratively with the Medical Staff and Key Management Personnel to:
• Supervise, plan, control, direct, administer and coordinate clinical
activities of the Hanford Occupational Medical Service (OMS).
• Implement best practices in the provision of comprehensive clinical
preventive medicine services to onsite employees in compliance with
contract requirements to include employees with injuries/illnesses
and their safe return to work.
• Conduct regulatory examinations as required by OSHA, DOE, State and
local regulatory authorities.
• Provide outreach to onsite employers and other external stakeholders to
communicate environmental risks and hazards at the worksite and
mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate and promote a culture of Health and Safety at the Hanford
worksite and local community.
Requirements
Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have at least three (3) years-required / five (5) years preferred
of experience in oversight and management of an occupational medicine
program similar in size and scope, be eligible for a DOE Access Authorization, and
appointment as a Designated Physician for the DOE Human Reliability Program.
Education / Training:
The qualified candidate shall be certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM),
Aerospace Medicine (AM), or Public Health and Preventive Medicine (PM) by the appropriate
certifying board. A certified candidate is preferred, however, based on all qualifications, a
candidate may be considered if board eligible and able to receive certification within 1-year.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Knowledge of OSHA, DOE, State and Local health and safety regulations
Skilled clinician with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer
skills with ability to use an electronic health record system (EHRS)
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
Valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
Board Certification as detailed in Education / Training above.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Supervise approximately 80–100 employees in multiple disciplines and
specialties to include all physicians and mid-level providers.
• Additional responsibilities may be delegated by IHA and/or Program Manager
Working Conditions
Outpatient clinic environment.
May require minor lifting and bending.
Complies with organizational safety and health policies and site-specific
procedures. Identifies potential safety and health hazards and reports concerns
and incidents to supervisory personnel. Ensures safe operating conditions within
area of responsibility.
