Position Summary: As the Manufacturing Process Engineer II will focus on developing, optimizing, and maintaining photomask manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality, efficiency and yield. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Operations, Quality & IT etc.) to analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements that enhance yield, reduce defects, and meet customer specifications. 

 

Location: Allen, TX (US). This is an on-site position, and we are not open to remote candidates at this time. 

 

What You’ll Do 

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer II, reporting to the Sr Manager, Technology, you will: 

  • Identify areas for improvement in existing manufacturing processes and developing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality and safety.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to process performance, using engineering knowledge and analytical skills. 
  • Contribute to process improvement projects, potentially leading smaller projects or tasks within a larger initiative.
  • Create, improve and maintain documentation related to process procedures, specifications, and troubleshooting guides. 
  • Development or modification of processes to enhance capability, throughput, and yield.
  • Support new equipment installation, process characterization, and equipment validation.
  • Compile and evaluate test and production data to determine appropriate process limits and capability.
  • Troubleshoot process excursions and develop corrective actions to prevent their recurrence.
  • Work collaboratively with operators, other engineers and quality team throughout the manufacturing flow to conceive and plan projects to improve manufacturability.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and technicians.

 

Travel:  Less than 5% - Both internationally and domestic  

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, problem solving methodologies, and relevant manufacturing processes. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures. 
  • Knowledge of various cleaning, developing, etching and patterning (lithography) techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and data analysis. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Motivated, independent thinker that works well with teams. 
  • Knowledge of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or ERP systems.

 

 

Experience: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in semiconductor process engineering or related field. 
  • Familiarity working in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment is preferred. 
  • Certified in Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred. 

 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or electrical engineering, Materials Science, Physics or equivalent work experience.
