Position Summary

The Materials Coordinator will coordinate and oversee a range of administrative duties to ensure that the Amp production facilities in Minnesota (Morris and Swift) operate efficiently and smoothly. We are looking for a self-starter who is efficient and dependable and who will excel in maintaining a professional and effective environment. This position reports to the Regional Plant Manager and provides administrative support to the Plant Manager and other members of the Amp operations, supply chain and accounting teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support the procurement process to include ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies and parts
  • Oversee and support all administrative duties for the plant
  • Create a welcoming and engaging workplace for our team members
  • Manage the plant office including ordering supplies and the organization/scanning of documents
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Run various errands to pick up supplies and parts, as needed
  • Organize and coordinate team lunches and/or other needs during outages and site visits
  • Communicate with corporate accounting team to ensure appropriate coding of invoices
  • Enter service and/or goods receipts against open purchase orders
  • Work within CMMS system to ensure all parts and assets are identified and current
  • Assist plant team with submission of purchase requisitions and tracking of inventory usage on work orders
  • Assist plant team with creation and completion of work orders to ensure parts are correctly identified
  • Assist in management of inventory through management of weekly / monthly cycle counts and periodic full physical inventory counts
  • Serve as IT liaison between plant and corporate IT department
  • Handle matters with discretion and confidentiality


Skills / Abilities / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of combined experience in an administrative assistant or junior accountant role
  • Ability to be on-site and work in industrial/dairy farm environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision
