Assistant Store Manager: Full-time, 40 hours per week 

Primary Team Leader: ReStore Manager 

FLSA Classification: Salary, Non-Exempt/Benefits Eligible 

Direct Reports: ReStore Staff

Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, leadership skills to support daily operations, and a heart for our mission. The Assistant Store Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth operations, motivate staff and volunteers, and create a welcoming, mission-driven shopping environment. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Support daily store operations, including opening/closing, merchandising, and inventory management. 
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service. 
  • Assist with supervising, training, and motivating staff and volunteers. 
  • Help ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety, and cash handling procedures. 
  • Promote and communicate the mission and vision of Habitat KC to customers, donors, and volunteers. 
  • Work with the Store Manager to meet sales goals and operational objectives. 

Requirements

Qualifications 

  • Previous retail, customer service, or leadership experience required. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to engage and inspire staff, volunteers, and customers. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Passion for nonprofit work and commitment to our mission. 
  • Flexibility for Saturday work.
