Job Summary:


The Tester is responsible for conducting pressure, dimensional, and visual inspections on rubber hose products to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in the quality control process and requires attention to detail, familiarity with testing equipment, and a strong understanding of safety protocols.


Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hydrostatic, air pressure, and/or burst tests on hoses per production and quality control standards.
  • Record and document all test results accurately, including serial numbers, lot numbers, and pressure readings.
  • Identify nonconforming products and escalate issues to the Quality Supervisor or appropriate personnel.
  • Set up and operate testing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Calibrate and maintain testing tools and equipment according to company procedures.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure products are tested promptly and meet deadlines.
  • Visually inspect hoses for surface defects, labeling accuracy, and construction issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of pressurized systems and PPE usage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized testing area.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to testing procedures and quality assurance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or quality control preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand production drawings, specifications, and test instructions.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data logging and reporting.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to industrial equipment, pressurized systems, and testing materials.
  • PPE required (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, etc.).
  • Work may involve standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
