%3Cp%3E%3Cstrong%3EPosition Description:%3C/strong%3E%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Pediatrics, invites applicants for a full-time Pediatric Gastroenterologist, 1.0 FTE AMHSP position. The successful candidate will have roughly 60% time for clinical activities. The relative contributions to academics, education and/or administration that comprise the remaining FTE within the position will be allocated based on the successful recruit%27s goals and interests in alignment with opportunities and needs within the section.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe target start date for this position is November 1, 2025. %26nbsp;%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe successful candidate will provide ambulatory clinic services, inpatient consultation, endoscopic procedures, and on-call services. The outpatient portion of this position will focus heavily on patients within the Children’s Hospital Intestinal Rehabilitation Program (CHIP) – an intensive, specialized patient population dependent on parenteral nutrition for survival. The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership, maintenance and further development of the CHIRP team, as well as being an institutional resource for the Nutrition Services team providing care for patients on parenteral nutrition.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is comprised of 11 pediatric subspecialists and is based at the state-of-the-art Alberta Children’s Hospital. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in an intestinal rehabilitation program, supporting children with intestinal failure.
Candidates must have the following qualifications: MD, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
The candidate must have a current license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
