Position Summary
RSI is currently recruiting for a Project Analyst who is responsible for providing support for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, cost and schedule control, performance monitoring, and reporting for civil construction projects. Implements professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to develop project plans, work sequencing structures, budget estimates, completion schedules, risk identification and mitigation strategies, cost and schedule performance monitoring, and reporting.
This position is a remote/hybrid role located in Chattanooga, TN.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform monthly cost, schedule, and risk performance updates utilizing construction manager- and contractor-provided progress reports, cost and schedule variance analyses, projections, estimates, and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly project progress status reports. Verify contractor information and Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) milestone logic ties are correct.
- Document construction issues, identify root causes, and document corrective actions including cost and schedule impacts, and final status/closure.
- Contribute to the development of Request for Proposal (RFP) packages for construction services.
- Coordinate with the project manager, designer, senior construction manager, and other stakeholders to develop technical specifications of the RFP.
- Provide construction expertise to Project Management Team regarding construction management, scope, and services.
- Develop construction specifications for RFP’s. Use Maximo to generate Work Orders and Purchase Requests for Purchase Orders (POs).
- Monitors PO expenditures and available funds, and provide additional funds, as approved, prior to completion of the work.
- Provide information to TVA supply chain for POs to be created and sent to vendor.
- Review PCR documents submitted by contractor and evaluate change order requests, claims for additional funds, and cost and schedule estimates relative to contract documents and industry construction standards.
Job Knowledge/Qualifications
- Advanced Primavera P6 and Maximo skills required.
- Working knowledge of electric power plant (Fossil, Hydro, and Nuclear) and/or transmission systems is desirable.
- Project Management Institute or AACE certification is desirable.
Required Education and Experience
- B.S. degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant training and experience.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience project cost and schedule planning and control
- practices, methods, and procedures.
- A minimum of 5 years construction management experience.
