We have an exciting opportunity for a Credentialing Specialist to join our team of talented professionals.


The position of Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the agency impaneling process as well as ensuring all professional staff in all applicable programs are properly trained, licensed and certified as mandated by state and federal regulations, funders and accrediting bodies and that all physicians are privileged. The Credentialing Specialist also ensures professional staff are impaneled with all applicable insurance companies or other payers and serves as Practice Manager for the organization with CAQH. The Credentialing Specialist is a member of the Quality Improvement (QI) team and therefore will assist with other QI related duties. Regular schedule: 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend hours may be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, bachelor's degree in health information management or related field is preferred.
  • 2 years of credentialing or credentialing-related experience in a health care or behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of credentialing and impaneling processes for Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance companies preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, able to work independently, adaptable to rapidly changing guidelines and priorities as well as making timely, sound decisions.
  • A valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
