POSITION SUMMARY
The Digital Press Operator will be responsible for the efficient operation of a digital printing press and related finishing equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manipulate color calibration to meet the client's expectation.
- Set up supplies and equipment and supervise the printing press during each operation.
- Produces the required quantity of products within established specifications and tolerances.
- Checks finished printed products, ensuring compliance with function, quality and cosmetic specifications.
- Maintains logs and records of units produced including records of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree OR completion of related apprenticeship program preferred.
- At least two years of related experience required.
- Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a machining environment that includes moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Safety Glasses must be worn in required areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
