The role, at a glance:
We are seeking a Junior Product Verification Engineer to support the validation and verification
of software, firmware associated with electronic devices for audio, visual, and room control
systems. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop testing expertise
while ensuring exceptional product quality.
How you'll contribute:
Execute manual testing procedures including black box testing on various devices and systems
Learn and apply programming concepts using languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, or similar technologies
Assist in developing and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks
Support test automation initiatives under senior engineer guidance
Configure basic network environments for testing computers and connected devices
Document test cases, execute test plans, and record results using tools such as Jira
Review technical documentation and specifications, providing feedback as appropriate
Collaborate with team members to identify and report software/hardware defects
Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
A successful candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic programming knowledge in Python, C++, C#, or other high-level languages
Understanding of fundamental testing concepts and methodologies
Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
Basic networking and LAN configuration skills
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create clear, detailed test reports and documentation
Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in team environments
Some nice-to-haves:
1+ years of testing experience (internships, co-ops, or entry-level positions)
Exposure to automation tools such as pytest, Selenium, or API testing frameworks
Experience with audio/visual equipment or room control systems
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
Knowledge of version control systems (Git preferred)
Work Environment:
Office environment with hands-on lab testing
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
On-site presence required
Occasional extended periods of computer use and equipment handling
