The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

The Illumination product line provides market-leading LED components and component+ solutions that improve human experience and well-being by enabling safety and excellence in Indoor/ Outdoor Lighting, Horticulture Lighting, and lighting for Standard Industry applications.
The mission of the Regional Product Marketing team is to drive the execution of our global strategy at a regional level. We are experts on the regional view of the full market spectrum (e.g. trends, competitors, requirements). We drive revenue development, position our business sustainably, and support customer engagement.
What we expect
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key customers.
- Develop, maintain, and efficiently communicate an authoritative understanding of current regional market conditions, future trends, challenges, and innovations as input for our product portfolio roadmap.
- Ability and willingness to identify new customers and develop new business opportunities from scratch
- Manage existing customers and derive new business opportunities to support joint growth
- Benchmark the competitive landscape and develop effective product, pricing, and marketing communication strategies to grow our Illumination LED business.
- Participate in optical standards groups within the industry; work with solutions engineers and product managers to create content for white papers, technical reviews, and case studies; present at conferences and events to enhance customer understanding of our products.
- Lead, manage and execute regional launch activities of new product introductions in close cooperation with Sales, Solutions Engineering, and Marketing Communications teams and alignment with the central product management team.
- Co-own the opportunity funnel with the Sales team; develop business case(s) and if necessary, trigger appropriate pre-development projects with targeted lead customers.
- Ensure the local execution of our global pricing strategy optimizes market penetration.
- Proactively present and promote the Illumination LED portfolio to help the Sales team understand the positioning, benefits, and target customers.
- Prepare periodic business reporting and ad-hoc management analysis.
- Manage product information tools to support Sales and Customer Service team, including product presentations and product demo development.
What we look for
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or other technical field relevant to LED/lighting; MBA in marketing a plus.
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant engineering or product marketing experience in semiconductor or related field.
- Strong business acumen, customer orientation, and drive for results.
- Excellent analytical skills and conceptual thinking with the ability to synthesize broad swaths of information into concise, actionable intelligence.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, avid learner.
- Excellent business and technical communication and presentation skills.
- Ability and flexibility to work in a global environment with multiple organizations within the company
- A demonstrable positive attitude is a must.
- Availability to travel 30-40%
