Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Patrick SFB, FL is searching for a Cybersecurity Specialist, SLD 45/SC (NH-2210-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent). Description: Serves as the Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager for all cryptographic activities including managing the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP) for the Space Launch Delta 45 and mission partners. Maintains accountability for sensitive cryptographic materials and related COMSEC information. Manages the TEMPEST program developing procedures and enforcing directives governing communication and computer systems for the Space Launch Delta 45 and mission partners. Designs and recommends solutions to resolve complex issues arising from unusual mission requirements. Information System Security Manager (ISSM), serves as the Space Launch Delta 45 Communication Flight Director's advisor for Assess and Authorize (A&A) status of the enclaves and management's technical consultant for network and standalone systems. Manages the COMPUSEC security discipline designing policy and procedures governing base wide computer and communications systems for Space Launch Delta 45 and mission partners connected to the enclaves. Ideal Candidate: Expert knowledge of the Communications Security (COMSEC). Skills in the tools and technology used to Manage the COMSEC program (i.e. Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) system, Simple Key Loaders (SKL's)) etc. Thorough working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts to include the principles and practices associated with COMSEC. Hold a current DoD8140 Security + (or equivalent) certification at a minimum. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Expert knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and computer security principles associated with COMPUSEC, TEMPEST, accreditation standards, and COMSEC. 2. Expert knowledge of NSA Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) program and skills with electronic cryptographic key management tools, 3. Expert knowledge of the Assess and Authorize (A&A) Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Skills in the tools and technology used to automate the A&A process (i.e. eMASS). 4. Knowledge of a wide range of computer-communication concepts, principles, and practices to independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex hardware and software security issues.
