The Material Handler plays a vital role in keeping our production facility running smoothly by moving materials efficiently and safely throughout the plant. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, NTAs, and other equipment to transport materials to and from machines, loading docks, storage areas, and workstations.

Shifts Available:
Weekend Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday through Sunday
Compensation for Material Handler:
- Starting Pay: $21.40 per hour
- Pay Increases: Opportunity for raises after 2 months and every 6 months, up to $25.15/hour
- Bonus Potential:
- Up to $1.00/hour performance bonus
- Quarterly profit-sharing bonus

Key Responsibilities of Material Handler:
- Load, transport, and deliver materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Move raw materials and parts to production areas according to schedule
- Navigate computer systems to look up part locations and inventory
- Stack, label, and organize materials for optimal storage and accessibility
- Secure loads with straps and protective materials; dispose of packaging waste
- Report material shortages or transportation issues to supervisors
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on handling equipment
- Support production and shipping/receiving departments as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to inventory and logistics
Qualifications for Material Handler:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with forklifts or other industrial equipment preferred (certification is a plus)
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer skills to manage inventory and part locations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable and able to work independently or in a team
- Good communication skills
Work Environment:
- Indoor Conditions: Climate-controlled manufacturing facility
- Safety Gear: PPE such as safety glasses and gloves are required
- Physical Requirements:
- Constant lifting/moving up to 10 lbs
- Frequent lifting/moving up to 80 lbs
- Regular walking, standing, bending, and reaching
