JOB SUMMARY:

The Property Maintenance Department is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family.  This department is an upbeat, active, and indoor/outdoor department that provides opportunities to earn and play in the mountains.  Enjoy the diverse working environment then the perks of your complimentary Monarch Mountain Season Pass.  The Wastewater Treatment Operator should have a positive attitude, enjoy working on a variety of projects, and helping guests as needed.  Wastewater Treatment Operators effectively and efficiently maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the wastewater treatment facility and other Monarch facilities. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Wastewater Treatment Operator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide information and direction to guests in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Work in conjunction with other employees and departments as part of the Monarch team.
  • Develop, review and maintain applicable maintenance manuals and schedules.
  • Responsible for physical and regulatory requirements of the water and wastewater systems as prescribed by the Wastewater License holder.
  • Assist in training personnel on the effective manner for operating the Wastewater Treatment Plant as prescribed by the Waste Water License holder.
  • Perform general cleaning, stocking and upkeep duties inside of the main lodge, Rental & Lesson Center, to include: trash removal, windows & doors, hydration stations, and vacuuming.
  • Be up to date with and utilize Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including, though not limited to, harnessing, bio-hazard protection…etc.
  • Use tools, power tools, chemicals, equipment…etc. in a knowledgeable, safe and appropriate manner.
  • May require working after closing as cleaning permits.
  • Maintain the organization and working order of tools, materials and basic equipment used.
  • Keep Supervisor apprised of supplies inventory as necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Class D wastewater license preferred.
  • Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
  • Requires stretching, bending, grasping, climbing ladders, getting on roofs, reaching, pushing, working in small places and shoveling.
  • Ability to push, lift, and move up to 90 lbs.
  • Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.


JOB TYPE: Winter Seasonal, Full and Part Time
